Waste and Recycling Drop-off 320 Harvest Drive Open Monday through Saturday (Closed Sunday) 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
If you live in the City of Watsonville city limits, YOU can drop-off recyclables, yard waste, Household Hazardous Waste, and occasional extra garbage at the Waste and Recycling Drop-Off. For information call the Customer Service Division at (831) 768-3133.
·Materials from outside Watsonville City limits must be taken to the Santa Cruz County Buena Vista Landfill
Household garbage accepted for the following fees:
·$3.00 per 32-gallon can ·$10.00 per cubic yard
Actual fee determined by attendant
Customers with a load greater than threeyards may be directed to the City landfill
Recyclable materials are accepted FREE of charge.
Car Tires · under 36" in diameter without rim, limit 9 tires per year per customer.
Wood · Unpainted and untreated wood only.
Appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, toasters, televisions, etc. One of each per year per customer.
Used Motor Oil and Filters: use any plastic container for oil.
Antifreeze, Transmission Fluid, Auto Batteries.
Cardboard, Paperboard, Newspapers, Phone Books.
Office Paper, Junk Mail, Magazines, Paper Bags.
Aluminum and Tin Cans.
Plastic Items:· Except Styrofoam.
Glass Bottles and Jars.
Scrap Metal: Window screens, window frames, lawn chairs, etc.
Computers, Monitors and other electronics
Residential Yard Waste: Residential customers 12 cubic yards per year per household FREE. - Additional yard waste is $5.00 per cubic yard. (1 cubic yard is equivalent to 202 gallons)
Commercial Yard Waste Customers: will be charged $10.00 per cubic yard and large loads may be directed to the City landfill
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) - FREE HHW is accepted on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. You can also bring paint, garden chemicals, solvents and expired medicines.
