*One unit equals 748 gallons To help our residential customers reduce water use, the City is now offering a free indoor/outdoor water audit program. Upon request, specially-trained staff will evaluate indoor fixtures, outdoor watering practices, check for leaks and make recommendations to cut water use. More ways to conserve our precious water resources: - Replace old, high flow toilets using the City’s free toilet replacement program or get a $100 toilet rebate.
- Install low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators and use hose shut-off nozzles. All are available at no charge at the Finance Department in City Hall located at 250 Main St.
- Purchase a water-saving clothes washing machine and receive a $100 rebate.
- Water lawns for only 15 minutes, twice a week and only when the weather is hot!
- Consider replacing lawns with “no summer water” plants.
